Dir brennt ein gesellschaftliches Thema unter den Nägeln? Du hast gerade eine miese Erfahrung in deinem Studium gemacht und an der Universität gibt es Missstände? Kennst du eine großartige Band oder ein tolles Buch und möchtest deine Entdeckung mit mehr als nur deinen Freund:innen teilen? Du schreibst gerne Texte und willst wissen, ob dir auch das journalistische Arbeiten Freude bereitet? Vielleicht bist du sogar schon länger journalistisch unterwegs, dir fehlt aber eine Plattform zur Veröffentlichung? Dann werde Gastautor:in bei uns. Wir wollen die Perspektiven der Zeitung erweitern und mehr Menschen die Möglichkeit zu geben, mit uns zusammenzuarbeiten.
Wer sind wir? Die ak[due]ll ist die studentische Zeitung für Duisburg, Essen und das Ruhrgebiet. In einem Team von neun Redakteur:innen erstellen wir monatlich eine 12-seitige Zeitung aus studentischer Perspektive. Wir arbeiten außerdem wöchentlich an einem vielfältigen Online-Angebot und verstehen uns als Lernredaktion.
So läuft es ab:
Wir diskutieren bei unserer Redaktionssitzung am Mittwoch deinen Themenvorschlag und melden uns bei dir zurück. Außerdem nehmen wir dich in unser Register für Gastautor:innen auf, um dich weiterhin kontaktieren zu können – sollte es also nicht sofort mit einer Veröffentlichung klappen, ist noch nichts verloren!
In einem Themenvorschlag sollte optimalerweise enthalten sein:
- Ein Arbeitstitel oder die Überschrift
- Ein kurzer Teaser
- Was bewegt dich bei dem Thema?
- Bei einer Reportage, Recherche usw.: Mit wem willst du über das Thema sprechen?
- Deine Ideen für ein Artikelfoto
Sollte uns ein Thema gefallen oder wir dich für ein Thema anfragen, dann gilt folgendes:
- Du bekommst von uns eine Zeichenvorgabe für deinen Artikel
- Pro Zeichen zahlen wir dir 0,01 EUR (inklusive Leerzeichen)
- Wenn du ein von dir angefertigtes Foto mitlieferst, das uns gefällt und wir veröffentlichen, bekommst du dafür 20 EUR

Wanted: Guest Authors!
Some issues won’t let you sleep at night? You just had a bad experience with your studies or the University has serious shortcomings you want to talk about? You know a great band or just read this amazing book and want to share your thoughts on it with the world? You are passionate about writing and want to know if journalistic work gives you the same joy? You are already involved with journalism and just need a platform for publication? If you see yourself in any of those positions, you should become one of our guest contributors! We are working on expanding the paper’s perspective and want to offer more participation opportunities to more people – for example you!
Who we are: ak[due]ll is the student-run newspaper covering issues in Duisburg, Essen and the Ruhrgebiet as a whole. A team made up of nine editors produces a 12-page newspaper, reporting on students’ points of view once a month. When we are not working on the print edition, we meet once a week and produce a wide range of content for our various online channels.
Here is how cooperation between us and you would look like:
You propose a topic and we discuss its fit during one of our editorial meetings every Tuesday. You will hear back from us and your contact details will be placed in our index for guest contributors – so even if publication does not work out for your proposals, not all is lost.
Ideally, a proposal from you should include:
- A working title or headline
- A short teaser
- A reason why this topic moves or excites you
- In case of a report or investigatory piece: who do you want to talk to about the topic?
- Your ideas for a photo
If we move ahead with one of your ideas, or if we ask you to cover another topic chosen by us, the following applies:
- We will assign a character limit for the article
- We are able to pay you 0,01 EUR per character (including spaces)
- Should we decide to include a picture in the article which was taken by you, you will receive 20 EUR as payment for one time publication usage
